Let me share with you my story. In 1999, I moved to Ecuador, South America. My plan was to finish college and to explore the continent for three months. I ended up staying five years! While living in Ecuador I met the love of my life, got married and opened a natural foods café and juice bar. I also began to experience a lot of increased health symptoms. I had experienced a lifelong struggle with mediocre health. In general, I rarely felt well and I had nagging aches and pains. I remember always having had stomach problems. But this was different! I became nearly non-functional. I was mislabeled with a variety of illnesses such as celiac disease, hypoglycemia, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, environmental illness, heavy metal and chemical toxicity, migraine and tension headaches, hormonal imbalances, acne, leaky gut syndrome, adrenal fatigue, Raynaud’s phenomenon, candidiasis, and the list goes on and on. I was even screened for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis because my entire body hurt chronically!
As my situation worsened (I believe due to acute stress) I started looking for real solutions. I felt I had already tried everything that was available in both traditional and alternative medicine. Most doctors had little to offer other than experimental drugs. I was often told there was really nothing seriously wrong with me and I should “just enjoy life.” But I could barely get out of bed! I felt desperate and unheard. During a family visit back in the U.S., I finally found the answer to my prayers. I was introduced to Nutrition Response Testing™ (NRT) and whole food nutrition. The first time I experienced Nutrition Response Testing™ I found it strange and unbelievable, only because it was very different from anything that I had experienced before. But I got better! I learned that all those previously mentioned labels were merely symptoms related to one thing – malnutrition. I was shocked. After all, I owned a natural foods café and ate what I considered a healthy diet. That is when I learned about food intolerances and how they affect the body. I also learned the difference between traditional nourishing foods and faddist “health foods.” As a result, I immediately recognized two things about my life. One, I had found a solution to my health problems. And two, I had found my life’s purpose.

I am passionate about the work I do and have dedicated my life to helping others. That is why I have extensively studied this health technique. I am so grateful I did because it is helping me fully regain my health and has given me the opportunity to assist others in their own quest for exceptional health. It is important to remember that real cellular healing takes time; it doesn’t happen overnight. In this fast paced world we tend to look for quick fixes and lose patience. We have to consider how long our bodies have been under stress and realize that it takes time and commitment to achieve superior health. I have been enjoying this process since 2003, and celebrate the fact that I am growing younger and healthier everyday!
I am a Certified Nutritional Consultant through the American Association of Nutritional Consultants (AANC) and a Certified Usui Reiki Master. My passion for whole food nutrition and exceptional health has led me to travel across the country learning from some of the world’s top nutritionists and herbalists. I primarily use Standard Process and Mediherb nutritional and herbal products in my clinical practice.
